If you have ever returned home to find your place burglarized or vandalized, then you know that feeling of violation – like actually having been raped – that pervades the scene. You feel dirty and slimed-on. Magicians say that this feeling is a “light fiber” – like a curse – left by the burglar to suck your energy (your anger and fear at your own helplessness and vulnerability) . Magicians believe that that is what the burglar was really after – not whatever it was he stole, but rather your anger and fear – which he can suck through the line he left there like soda through a straw.
In fact, these light fibers – which emerge from a person’s navel and form an egg-shaped aura around the physical body – are visible to psychic people; that is to say, to people who are born with or have developed this faculty. See Barbara Brennan’s book

Thought Forms. The point is, that when we talk about vampires, we’re not talking about Transylvania, we’re talking about everyday society: abusive parents, spouses, teachers, bosses, cops, airport officials, etc. Any bad faith; bullying; lying; sneakiness; even gossiping behind someone’s back; is quite literally a vampirization of energy. Black magic is what everybody is doing to everyone else all the time, beneath a superficial veneer of social niceties and tea-party hypocrisy.
Magicians say that the idea of other people’s “webs” is no metaphor: that everybody is tied up with everyone else in the universe by fibers of light. In normal human relationships there is a give and take of energy (love) through these light fibers, which is what happens when people are making each other feel good. However, there are people who use these fibers only to take, not to give. These are the black magicians...
